3rd ANNUAL VITAL STATISTICS:
SWIM: 1.5k lake swim (wet suits permitted) start and finish on the sand beach swim area. Last years water temp. 72 degrees (clean).
BIKE:Click here for more info. The bike course is off road with some technical climbs but no steep downhills. The course goes through forests, high mountain deserts, as well as stretches of dirt and gravel county roads. The views are spectacular as the course goes through some of the most beautiful parts of the San Juan Mountains. This is a challenging course designed to please any triathlete. 35k
RUN: 11k begins at swim area in Park and follows River Trail to Town Park in Ridgway. The course rises in the park then heads down to the lake linking with the River Trail. This course consists of dirt, concrete, and gravel surfaces with water and restroom facilities along the way. This is truly a beautiful run with outstanding views.

Pasta dinner will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday the 15th. Information on the dinner will be sent with confirmation letter. Lodging information will also be sent with confirmation letter. Camping facilities are available in the Ridgway State Park. Race packets can be picked up at the pasta dinner or the morning of the race. Awards and lunch will be in the Ridgway Town Park following the race. There will be race day registration at the Ridgway State Park the morning of the race beginning at 6:00 a.m. If the race has not previously been filled (information on late registration can be found on our web site or by phoning 970-626-2007. If there are over 150 participants there will be wave starts assigned the day of the race. There will be a maximum of 400 participants in this event. Approved helmets must be worn during the bike event. A youth event(under 18yrs.) may be held if there is enough interest. Please call for information on this event. Race begins at 8:00 a.m. Sharp! Please plan on being at the Ridgway State Park 970-626-5822 no later than 7:00 a.m. the day of the race. Ridgway State Park is located 22 miles south of Montrose, CO on State Hwy 550 and 3 miles north of Ridgway. There is plenty of lodging available in Ridgway, Montrose, Ouray, or Telluride.
